Guiding Star Films is affiliated with and works in close partnership with NyAC, Phil Parker's film production company. Phil Parker is Europe's leading script development consultant and has worked on many projects including Terry Pratchett's 'Hog Father', and Aardman Animations 'Curse Of The Where Rabbit. Phil has also written the highly acclaimed book, 'The Art and Science of Screenwriting', which is available at all good book stores.

Guiding Star Films Ltd and NyAC work in partnership on a new training scheme project called, 'The Dynamic Universe', which runs alongside our BCre8ive workshops.

About our founder.

Richard started Guiding Star Films Ltd early in 2009, he had always been interested in film and television and had spent several years as a writer of Theatre shorts, radio plays, and magazine articles.

Richard had attend the International Screen Writers Festival in Cheltenham since it had first started, and has been a regular subscriber to Twelvepoint/Screen Writer Magazine, writing articles.

Richard then became interested in the production side of film making, as it mirrored the work that he been used to in the corporate sector of the health and leisure industry.

Richard had worked for Virgin's leisure arm Virgin Active, and previously for Universal Studio's retail arm.

Richard became close friends with Phil Parker and now Richard and Phil work closely together on all projects and proposals.

Richard is keenly interested in the nitty gritty side of production and aspires to be an Executive Producer.

Richard is a member of the NPA (New Producers Alliance), and has working knowledge of Final Draft 8, Movie Magic's Screenwriter, EPs Budgeting and Scheduling, Dramatica Pro, Avid, Final Cut, Reel Production Calendar and Frame Forge Studio.
